Cures to get rid of lice

It is not always possible to get rid of lice without using a medicated shampoo, but you can try a few home remedies first. One important thing that you need to remember when treating a lice infestation is that the treatment absolutely must be repeated in order to be effective. The first treatment will hopefully kill any adult lice and some of the eggs or nits, and the subsequent treatments will kill the lice that hatch from the surviving eggs.

The ideal period between two treatments is four or five days, and the treatment should be repeated at least twice.

You can try applying margosa oil or tea tree oil on your head, making sure that your scalp and hair are well covered by the oil. Leave the oil in for at least half an hour before washing it out.

Another simple solution for lice is to wash your hair with a mixture of vinegar and water. This can also be done along with any other treatment. For example, after you apply tea tree oil, you can shampoo your hair, and then rinse it with water and vinegar. This will kill any remaining lice, and also help wash the nits out of your hair. Using these remedies in conjunction with a louse comb should be enough to end the infestation.
