Sinusitis is a rather common condition that is characterized by the inflammation of the nasal passage – leading to considerable discomfort when it comes to breathing. The inflammation of the nasal passages causes a blockage to the sinuses. This could then result in the buildup of air and mucus in the sinus cavity, with some of the more prominent symptoms of the condition being pain and pressure on the sinus cavity wall.

Some of the other very prominent symptoms of sinusitis include tenderness around the sinus area, headaches, facial pains as well as an upper jaw pain and a sore throat. Some people are also known to have developed a rather foul smelling breath. The blockage in the nasal passage will lead to the development of a number of other problems such as a cold, cough or excessive sneezing in addition to the post nasal drip and tooth pain. In most cases, the condition is primarily a result of some kind of infection in the nasal passage, causing the tissue to swell. There are some cases, just as in your situation, in which structural abnormalities of the nose are likely to cause the development of sinuses on a regular scale. Just as your doctor has advised, restructuring this is a permanent method of getting the problem fixed. However, if you are looking at natural methods of sinus congestion treatment, it is also highly recommended that you approach a doctor to have a firsthand glimpse of the condition so as to suggest natural sinus congestion remedies and avoid surgery. Because of the fact that the complication is a structural one, most of the sinus congestion treatments are only likely to help relieve the discomfort temporarily rather than permanently.

One of the best sinus congestion treatments is to consume large quantities of liquids over the course of the day. This helps keep the body highly hydrated and flush out the mucous from the body. As far as home remedies for sinus congestion go, it helps to adapt your diet to include a higher amount of vitamin C to help boost the immune system in your body thereby also preventing the development of other medical conditions. One should also be aware of the fact that the effectiveness of sinus congestion treatments also depends substantially on the environmental factors such as the levels of humidity in the air. As part of your sinus congestion cures you could also purchase a nasal saline spray to get rid of the nasal congestion. You could also prepare a nasal saline spray at home using water and salt or else purchase it at any medical store. Nasal sprays are also a very beneficial sinus congestion remedy.
