Natural cures for stretch marks Stretch marks are essentially scars that form after skin has been drastically stretched. Although they are commonly associated with pregnancy, anyone can have stretch marks. Other common causes of stretch marks include sudden weight gain and sudden weight loss.
It may not be possible to entirely get rid of stretch marks, at least not in a hurry, but it is possible to make them fade and become less obvious. Over time however, stretch marks can become light enough to be almost unnoticeable.
Massaging the affected areas with cocoa butter is one very effective home remedy for stretch marks. Do this at least twice a day, but remember that it may take months for the effect to show. Vitamin E and aloe are also beneficial for most skin problems. You can apply Vitamin E oil daily, and either fresh aloe leaves or aloe gel. In addition, you should also exercise regularly. If your body is firm and tight, stretch marks are much less obvious. A regular exercise regimen and a healthy diet will also help you control your weight. If your weight fluctuates, new stretch marks are bound to appear, and it will take you much longer to get rid of them.
