Causes and remedy for peeling hands

The palms of my husbands hands are peeling. He has the same problem with the arches of his feet. What causes that and what is the remedy?

Causes of peeling hands

The simple reason of peeling hands is dry skin. There are many causes for dry skin. Mostly environmental factors as winter, summer, wind, air condition, excess washing, low humidity, strong soaps are the main reasons of peeling skin.


Sunburn can be also a cause for dry skin.It may also be caused due to heavy medication. Peeling of skin may be caused due to lack of vitamin A, B, iron and iodine.




Peeling Hand Remedies

  • Rub honey on affected area and wash it after 5 minutes.
  • Always apply glycerin on hands and legs.
  • A glass of warm milk with 1-2 teaspoon of almond oil daily helps a lot.
  • Application of fresh mint juice on hands every night gives relief.
  • Add cream, butter, eggs, meat, yeast, fruits, pulses, rice, beans, and vegetables in your meals. This means have a full proper diet.
  • Drink a lot of water.
  • Use mild soaps.
  • Avoid very hot water baths.
  • Do not peel the skin. Definitely you will get rid of the problem
