Alternate cures for heartburn

Popularly heartburn is known as acidity. There are many home cures for heartburn –
  • Chew 2-3 holy basil leaves everyday. It gives relief from acidity, gas and heartburn.


  • When you are suffering from heartburn symptoms eat few almonds.
  • For fast relief drink glass of cold milk.
  • To prevent acidity take 2 teaspoon of honey and apple cider vinegar in glass of water before meals.


  • Avoid spicy, fried, oily food.
  • Lemon juice with salt is good for heartburn.
  • For cooling down eating banana is good.
  • One teaspoon of warm Ginger juice is beneficial.
  • Drinking lots of water is helpful. It will reduce the heartburn.
  • Suck ½ teaspoon of jaggery frequently till you feel better.
  • Sucking clove is also helpful.
  • Eating cucumber or watermelon is also good.
  • Add high fiber food in your meals. It absorbs excess acid and gas. It detoxifies your body.
  • Do not lie down immediately after the meal. Take pillow while sleeping for relief.
  • Eat food slowly. Chew your food thoroughly.
