Home remedy for ear block

Catarrh is an inflammation of the respiratory tract.  It is mucus discharge associated with colds. Generally it is connected with nasal, but it may also affect the ears also.


There are many reasons for ear block like flu, cold, appearance of wisdom tooth, infection etc.

Some home remedies for ear block -

• The best thing to do is to give hot compression to the ear area. It gives relief.
• Dab cotton ball in lemon or onion juice and put it on ear. It will give relief from infection.
• Take 1-2 cloves of garlic. Crush it and put it on 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Warm the oil till the garlic test is absorbed in oil. Let the oil be warm. Put 1-2 drops of oil without garlic in your ear. It will take the mucus out of your ear. Clean the ear with bud.
• Warm sweet almond oil or olive oil is also helpful. Put 1-2 drops in ear when the oil is warm. Massage gently under the ear. Plug the ear with cotton ball.
• Do not allow water in your ear.
• Taking home treatment for cold also helps as earache is related to colds.
• Drink herbal tea.
