Natural treatment for puffy eyes
- Keep your moisturizers and creams in the refrigerator. The coldness will reduce your swollen eyes.
- When you are applying eye cream or make-up, lightly tap your third skin on the inflated area to help drain the excess liquid.
- Place grated or sliced potatoes, cucumbers or strawberries on your eyes for 10 minutes 3 to 4 times daily. You can also apply the juices of these fruits and vegetables or wash your eyes with them daily.
- Take ice cold milk or iced water in a bowl and soak a couple of cotton balls in it. Cover your eyes with the balls and lie down. Wait till it becomes warm and then put fresh cotton balls on your eyes. Continue this for 15 to 20 minutes and do it for 3 to 4 times daily.
- Apply vitamin E oil to the area around your eyes regularly.
- Rub your eyes with an ice cube wrapped in a thin cotton cloth immediately after getting up in the morning or whenever you feel eye strain.
- You can place a green tea or black tea bag on your eyes for 10 minutes 3 to 4 times a day.
- Get 7 to 8 hours of regular sleep and keep away from stress.
- Drink plenty of water everyday.
