Home remedies for external piles

Enlarged blood vessels in the rectal region, inside or outside the anus is referred to as haemorrhoids. Also referred to as piles, haemorrhoids are a result of improper dietary regimen, lack of exercise and heredity. First degree or internal piles is seen in the anus, with slight discomfort.


Second degree piles are seen outside the anus during bowels and are in the size of a peanut. External piles or the third degree piles are troublesome, accompanied by itching and irritation. A hot poultice of grated radish is effective in the case of non bleeding external piles.


Daily consumption of a glass of buttermilk with a pinch of black pepper powder is helpful. Bael fruit is an effective remedy against piles. About 30 ml of ginger juice helps in providing relief from piles. Mashed banana or banana milkshakes are helpful. A concoction of carrot, spinach and turnip leaves is beneficial. Soak 50 grams of onion. Consume it with a teaspoon of sugar, twice everyday. Consumption of fresh and mashed rose petals is effective in bleeding piles.
