Advice on body heat
Physical exertion results in increased body heat. Some individuals have high body heat, inherently. The cooling mechanism of the body is less effective in certain individuals. Raised body heat gives rise to confusion, headache, sweating, dry skin, convulsions, blackout and high pulse rate. Excessive body heat results in dehydration. Individuals with excessive body heat should consume adequate amount of fluids and water. Light headedness and fainting are also common, in severe conditions. Excessive exposure to sun results in heat stroke. Disorientation, changes ion blood pressure, seizure, rapid and shallow breathing, high body temperature and rapid heartbeat are commonly seen. Resting in a cool place helps. Sipping water and cold drinks also prove beneficial. Excessive clothing is avoided and light cotton clothing are preferred. Lying down with feet in an elevated position is helpful. Staying hydrated is important. A mixture of honey with two teaspoons of indian gooseberry (goose berry) juice proves beneficial. Lukewarm chamomile tea is helpful in cooling the body. Fresh mint tea also has a similar effect. Mint is incorporated in tea and other recipes. Refer our article on heat stroke.
