Natural remedies for eczema 

Red and flaky skin is a condition, commonly seen to occur. This condition is referred to as eczema or dermatitis. Inflammation, itching and scratching are seen.


Damage and infection of the skin is seen, though not infectious. Environmental factors are the major culprits. Allergens, such as dust, dander, feather, foods and pollen are the major allergens.


Sensitivity to these allergens results in dermatitis. Bacterial infection is also seen. Hormonal disturbances and extreme changes in the climate cause dermatitis. Antihistamine tablets prove vital in case of severe allergy. Anti microbial creams prove beneficial. Keeping the skin clean and hygienic is an effective way to prevent infection. Topical corticosteroids and antibiotics are helpful. Immunosuppressants are also helpful. Emollients help in eczema prevention. It also helps in moisture retention. Soaps and bath oils are better avoided and replaced by emollients. In case of eczema in hands, protective gloves help. Keep them warm and avoid touching harsh chemicals and substances. Supplementation of biotin and other B complex vitamins is recommended. Vitamin E is topically applied. Blueberry leaves lotion proves effective in providing relief from inflammation. Almond leaves are freshly prepared and applied. Sun bath helps in preventing eczema. Irritation and itching is reduced by applying mashed papaya seeds.
