is there any thing i could do besides take some kind of pill to lower my cholesterol?

Home remedies for lowering cholesterol
- The first thing you need to do is to make a diet chart according to your weight and age and which will consist of all the nutritious foods and the ones that you are not allergic to. Follow this healthy diet and avoid emotional eating.
- You can eat 2 tomatoes in the morning for breakfast everyday.
- Drink 1 glass of warm water in which 1 tsp of honey and a few drops of lemon juice has been added, immediately after getting up from bed in the morning.
- Sip buttermilk and coconut water during the day.
- Have 5 to 6 frequent meals and eat lightly. Have your dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed.
- Avoid fats, trans fats, red meat, fried or oily foods, processed foods, junk foods, spices, saturated nuts, white rice, white sugar, white bread and carbonated drinks. Eat cereals, nuts, fruits, fruit juices, vegetables, raw vegetable salads, plain or salted curd, brown sugar, brown bread and brown rice. Steam or boil your vegetables rather than frying them.
- Reduce the intake of carbohydrates and increase fiber consumption.
- Avoid smoking and control the consumption of alcohol.
- Exercise regularly and maintain your weight to keep fit and agile.
