Home Remedies for Heel Pain

If you feel pain in your heels, then I have some effectual home remedies for you. Read on the following remedies to ease heel pain:

  • Give good massage to your heels by soaking them in alternate hot and cold water. This kind of water therapy helps in opening and closing of blood vessels and provides a massaging effect to your heels.

  • Rubbing moisturizing lotion into your feet every night before going to bed can also help in invigorating your heels.
  • If you experience some kind of swelling in your heels, you can try applying hot peeper or ointments containing capsaicin. This will help in reducing inflammation.

  • You also need to lower your mileage when wearing a new pair of shoes. Recreational walkers and runners also lower their mileage when they wear a new pair of athletic shoes. Lowering your mileage will provide space and comfort to your heels and eventually relieve pain.
  • Gently stretch your heel cord or Achilles tendon situated at the back of your foot. This stretching can help you reduce or ease pain.
  • •Always buy a good pair of shoes. By a good pair I mean, that the shoes should be in the right shape, right size and comfortable. The pair of shoes should be as per the shape of your feet. The size of your shoes is equally important. If the shoes are smaller then it may result in painful swelling as your feet have no space to move. If your shoes are larger than your feet size, then your shoes will become a good breeding place for various bacteria and virus.
