Remedy for bacterial infection

I read where you can treat a bacterial infection by drnking cranberry juice everyday, how long do you have to do that?

Bacterial infection remedies

Bacterial infection is too broad a term used. Inadequate information regarding the organ affected is available. Bacteria infection of the respiratory tract causes pharyngitis, sinusitis and pneumonia.


They are especially seen in individuals with poor immunity. Bacteria is the culprit behind many a food borne disease. Staphylococcus aureus attacks unprotected food resulting in food poisoning.


Helicobacterium pylori are bacteria which affects those with ulcer. Contamination of bacteria during sexual intercourse results in UTI or urinary tract infections. Prostate trouble in men results in incomplete bladder emptying, thereby resulting in bacterial growth. Contamination of bacteria in the meninges and spinal cord causes meningitis. Research reveals the efficacy of cranberry juice in decreasing urinary bacterial infection. About half a litre of cranberry juice for 3 months is supposed to be effective. Take the guidance of your physician for going ahead. Certain substances and chemicals present in cranberries and blueberries help in inhibiting the adherence of the microbes to the mucosal lining of the urinary tract. Drinking eight to ten glasses of water is helpful in flushing out the toxins and other metabolites.
