You can effectively cure tonsils using the following home remedies:

• In a glass of water, squeeze a fresh lemon and add honey. You can also add a pinch of common salt for taste. Sip the mixture.
  
  
  
• Heat milk and add turmeric powder and pepper powder to it. Drink it before going to bed each night.
• Boil 2 tbsp of Fenugreek seeds in water and allow the mixture to cool down. Gargle with this mixture. This is one of the most effective remedies for tonsils.
• It is very essential to lubricate throat as tonsils dry your throat. Drink plenty of warm water, liquids and lemon juice. This will help to lubricate as well as soothe throat.
• Drinking warm water also helps in reducing the pain on swallowing.
• You can even place a humidifier in your room. This will help to add more moisture to your room. This method is fruitful especially if your room has too much of dry air.
• Mix crushed garlic clove with honey and have a teaspoon of this mixture daily.
• Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and works wonder in curing tonsils. You can either add turmeric to warm water or to warm milk. In both the cases, turmeric will help in fighting the infection.
