Home remedies for high blood pressure
- Alfalfa seeds can be used as sprouts in salads, soups or sandwiches. You can extract the juice of a handful of its leaves or make its tea and drink it regularly. Boil the seeds of alfalfa in an enamel pan on a low flame.
Keep the pan covered and leave it for half an hour. Remove it and strain the liquid by pressing the seeds. Let it cool for sometime and add honey to it for taste. - Swallow 3 cloves of garlic with water on an empty stomach in the morning. It eases the spasms of the small arteries and regulates the heart beats.
- Boil some parsley in water and drink its tea 4 to 5 times daily.
- Take ½ tsp of the powdered root of Rauwolfia thrice daily for relief from high blood pressure.
- You can munch 2 or 3 stalks of celery or consume its oil on a regular basis. It relaxes the muscles lining the arteries thus allowing those muscles which regulate blood pressure to dilate.
- Stay calm and exercise regularly. Visualization techniques and deep breathing will help you fight stress and think positively in times of crisis. There are various yoga postures for controlling high blood pressure and increasing the immunity level.

There are various home remedies that can help you lower your blood pressure. Read on the following home cures for high blood pressure:
- Alfalfa is an effective natural herb used for lowering high blood pressure. This herb actually reduces the pressure on the arteries and helps in curing hypertension.
- Garlic is another good remedy for reducing tension in the arteries. Tension on the arteries is exerted by the heart pumping action during blood circulation. Garlic being an antispasmodic agent reduces this tension and helps in lowering high blood pressure.
- Another useful herb is Jaundice berry that helps in dilating the arteries and ease tension exerted on them. This eventually helps in facilitating the blood flow.
- Parsley also helps in regulating the blood flow and improves blood circulation.
- Boil 1-2 tablespoon of Fenugreek seeds in a glass of water. Strain the water and drink it.
- Curry leaves boiled in water can also be effective in curing high blood pressure. Drink this water on an empty stomach.
- Grind dry water melon seeds and prepare its powder form. Take this powder along with 1-2 tablespoon of water. This will help in reducing blood pressure.
- Extract juices from carrot and spinach. These juices when consumed daily can show miraculous results in reducing high blood pressure.
