Remedies and cure for eye twiching

My eye has been twiching for about a month now. Why is it doing this and how do I stop it. Pl help.

Blepharospasm, also referred to as eye twitching is a result of muscle spasm of the eyelids. Physical and psychological stress of the eye muscles are related to twitching of eye muscles. Smoking or exposure to sudden bright light also stimulates eye twitching.


Severe twitches are caused by botox injection. Motor system of the eye is affected, leading to nystagmus. Eye twitching can be a result of twitching of the eye or the face. A warm soak with water or rose water is helpful in minor cases. Refractive index is corrected in severe cases. Dry eyes, drooping eyes and double vision are other symptoms of eye twitching. Reduction of stress and relaxation are effective techniques in combating this condition. Self medication or drug abuse might create further problems and affects vision. Reduce the intake of stimulants, such as tea and coffee. Examination of the eye for poor vision is diagnosed for. Also termed hemifacial spasm or benign essential blepharospasm, eye twitching is also overcome by deep breathing exercises. Surgical procedures involve myectomy, technique ofr the removal of nerve fibres and muscles.
