I have heard that sometimes taking cranberry tablets or drinking lots of cranberry juice like recommended while you have a UTI can sometimes cause certain people to become worse, is that true?

Remedies on UTI

Urinary tract infection, or UTI as it is known, affects most people at some point in their lives. Urinary tract infection is an infection of the urinary tract. A bacteria is responsible for the spread of this infection.

Since this bacteria enters your body through the urinary tract and then can spread to other parts of your body, one of the easiest ways of getting rid of the infection is by drinking lots of water and diluting the effect of the bacteria. In addition to drinking water it is generally believed that drinking the juices from berries, and in particular the juice of cranberry is very beneficial. As far as I am aware, cranberry juice will only help you s your condition.

However if you are afraid that the juice will affect your adversely, then I would suggest that you visit a doctor and seek her advice. If you happen to react badly to cranberry juice then it is advisable to seek professional advice.

You can then try other remedies to get over the infection. Several people have found drinking water to which half a table spoon of baking powder has been added very beneficial. Others swear by chewing parsley leaves since these have diuretic properties. They increase the amount of urine that is generated, thus ensuring that with frequent urinations, you can get rid of the infection.
