Treatment for pink eye
You have not mentioned if you are suffering from any pain or any kind of discharge in addition to the pink eye. Very often the pink eye is indicative of some kind of an eye infection. If this is the case and you notice discharge or even pain in your eye visit the doctor at once.
In the meanwhile you can try some easy home remedies. First of all wash your affected eye with cold water. If possible cup some water in your hand and try to blink your eye in this.
If this is not possible, try collecting some water in a small bowl and try ‘washing' the eye. You can also heat some water and use a cotton swab to wash your affected eye. You will find that it does help with any irritation or pain. If you find that this does not work for you, don't worry. Simply use cold water or ice cubes. You can swab your eye with cold water. You can also pack ice cubes in a plastic bag and use this to soothe the affected eye.
You can also steep one tea bag in hot water for five minutes. Now use the tea bag on your affected eye. Make sure that the water has cooled down otherwise you will burn yourself.
