Fast cure for fever
The first thing to do in all cases of fever is to consume substantial amounts of water to replace lost body fluids. A fever is the body's way of fighting against infections and bringing your body back to normal. So help is required along the way.
Lots of water and fresh juice will help improve your fever greatly, sometimes in as soon as a day. You can also have a pinch of rock salt in your juices, as this will help retain water in your body. You must avoid spicy and rich food, opting for easily digestible food.
The best thing to eat when you have a fever is plain rice and vegetable or chicken broth. A paste of holy basil leaves and honey must be consumed twice a day, one teaspoon at a time, to help fight the fever. Make a paste of sandalwood and rose water and smear it on your forehead. This will help bring down the temperature of your body slowly and gradually. Applying chopped onions to the soles of your feet is also another remedy that is supposed to act quickly in bringing down high body temperature. It is said that egg whites when applied to the soles of your feet also draw the temperature of your body downwards.
