Treatment on  swollen lymph nodes

If your brother is in so much pain, you should perhaps take him to the doctor. Sometimes Lymph nodes swell due to the body's reaction to certain food eaten. Swollen lymph nodes  also indication some kind of infection inside the body.

If your brother also complains of a sore throat then it is possible that he is suffering from a viral infection.   An infection should be examined and treated as soon as possible other wise it could lead to other problems.

You can try using these external remedies to help your brother.

Run a bath of lukewarm water. Add one cup of apple cider vinegar and one cup of Epsom salts to the water. Mix well. Now let your brother get into the tub. Make sure that you pour the water over the affected area. You will find that the swelling in the lymph node is reduced.

If your brother is willing to drink apple cider vinegar, then giving him a table spoon of this will help too. Start by giving him one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also give your brother plenty of yogurt to eat. The juice of the Indian gooseberry is believed to help people suffering from swollen lymph nodes. Take a tablespoon of this everyday.
