Most women have a menstrual cycle which lasts from five to seven days. If you have been having almost continuous periods for the past four years then you certainly need to visit your doctor as soon as possible. Sometimes excessive periods can indicate other disorders.
The doctor will be able to guide you about the right thing to do in order to regulate your periods.
A healthy body and a regulated lifestyle usually help in ensuring that you have a more regular cycle of periods. If you are not getting enough sleep then you should ensure that you do so. Try to avoid eating fast food and instead eat healthy food. Include salads, fruit juices and plenty of milk in your daily intake. You should also eat regular meals and try to avoid missing meals. A regular amount of physical exercise will also help you. If you are under a lot of stress then you will need to consciously learn to relax since stress is one of the culprits responsible for irregular menstrual cycles. You can make a simple infusion at home to help you regulate your periods. Heat two cups of water. When it boils add one tablespoon of coriander seeds in it. Continue boiling till the water is reduced to half. You can add a spoon of sugar if you like. You can drink this three times a day.
