Information on liver cirrhosis

A doctor's diagnosis is based on a physical examination of the patient. If your partner's doctor feels that he will not be able to get cured, you should ask him the reasons. You should also get a second opinion if you are not satisfied with the doctor or the reasons he or she provides.

However, it is important to remember that cirrhosis of the liver is a serious condition which is chronic in nature. Curing, or even arresting the condition in its present stage requires dogged discipline. The first thing to remember is that the person should avoid heavy work. Rest and relaxation is important to not aggravate this condition. Strict diet control is also required. It is imperative that the person switch to a vegan diet, which excludes even eggs and fish. A fruit and vegetable diet, with adequately high carbohydrates will work well for the patient.

As a remedy, papaya is a fruit that is known to work wonders with the problem. The seeds should be dried and ground and a teaspoon had with warm water twice a day. The peels may be dried and nibbled upon. The fruit may be had fresh. Aloe vera gel and juice both work to soothe the liver. Spinach, beetroot and carrots provide much needed iron to the body. Buttermilk with a pinch of rock salt should also be had about four times a day.
