Treatment for perspiration

Sweat is a salty liquid produced by the body. Sweating too much due to thyroid and nervous disorder is results in excessive sweating. This is referred to as hyperhidrosis.

Perspiration is a method of outlet of the excessive body heat. Sweating in children is nothing new. Some children sweat more than others.

It is not a serious issue to worry. But, yes! It is irritating and disturbing. Children are disturbed out of their sleep, most often. Allow the child to drink adequate amount of water, as dehydration is associated with excessive perspiration. Provide the child with healthy and balanced meals, as sweating results in fatigue in the child. Always keep a towel handy and wipe your child's head. Switch on the fan in medium speed, based on the requirement. Dusting some amount of talcum powder in the neck proves beneficial. Keep her hair short, especially in the summers. Keep her nails short, as sweating increases the tendency to scratch. Drinking cider vinegar also helps. Visit a paediatrician for further guidance regarding the frequency of sweating and the intensity.
