Natural cures for stomach acid
If your stomach is producing too much acid then you should take a long hard look at the food you are eating. The foods we eat produce acids in the stomach. What happens to people who produce a lot of stomach acids is that when the stomach is full, it forces the acids out of the stomach and into your esophagus.
This is bad news for your esophagus because while your stomach lining is meant to take the onslaught of the stomach acids, the esophagus has no such protections. As a result the acid that is pushed out of your stomach and into your throat burns. This is what is commonly known as heartburn. If you aren't already suffering from heartburn you probably will soon.
What you need to do is to regulate the amount of food you eat. If you regularly gorge on oily food then it is no wonder that you have stomach acids. These types of food are not easily digested and they cause encourage the production of acids in the stomach. Try to cut down on these types of food. Avoid drinking carbonated drinks since these will only add to your discomfort. Instead, try sipping on a glass of apple cider vinegar. Wear loose clothes and try to sit up straight.
However if you continue to experience pain your abdomen due to these stomach acids, then you should visit the doctor. Often stress and medication can cause an excess of stomach acids.
