The presence of a significant level of pain during urination would indicate the likelihood of a urinary tract infection. A urinary tract infection can affect any part of the urinary system including some major organs such as kidneys, the bladder or even the urethra. The kidneys play an important role in the removal of waste and excess water from the blood and the elimination of these substances through the passing of urine.

The kidneys are also very sensitive to changes in the levels of blood sugar and blood pressure. The bladder helps to store the urine before it is expelled from the system when the urine reaches a certain volume. The muscles that line the bladder also help an individual to control the expulsion of urine as they can be voluntarily contracted. The urethra is a small tube that connects the urethra to the outside of the body and consists of a muscle called the urinary sphincter located at the junction of the bladder and urethra which also helps in controlling the expulsion of urine. Studies have shown that if the infection occurs further up the urinary tract, the more serious it turns out to be.  It is also common for some of the urinary tract infections to spread to other parts of the body but they can usually be effectively treated with a few simple remedies. Urinary tract infections are known to occur more frequently in adults than in children although they do affect both. They are also more common in girls and women than when compared to boys and men, where it affects about 40% of all women and 12% or all men. Some of the more prominent symptoms that one will face when affected by the condition include a painful burning sensation during urination accompanied by a rather frequent urge to urinate. Despite the increased urge to urinate, one will very often notice only a small amount of slightly cloudy and strong smelling urine pass out of their body.

Increasing your fluid intake will significantly help treat the condition as it will flush out the substances that are causing the problem. Cranberry juice is known to prevent bacterial infections from attaching themselves to the wall of the bladder or urethra making it a very effective substance in treating the condition. If you experience a significant amount of pain, you should try placing a heating pad over your lower abdomen in order to ease the discomfort.

Natural remedy for curing urinary infection

Piles is certainly not the problem here. Piles is a condition in which the veins in the rectum or anus become enlarged and inflamed due to a number of reasons. These are also known as hemorrhoids, and cause pain and discomfort during defecation, and in severe cases, even when simply sitting down. Your problem however seems to be restricted to urination.

What you are suffering is only a urinary tract infection, commonly known as UTI. From the presence of blood in the urine, it also seems possible that there is a stone in the kidney, or a tumor somewhere in the urinary tract. However, this will need to be looked into by your doctor, after a thorough investigation of your symptoms and a few tests.

Urinary tract infections are usually easy to treat, with simple home remedies and a few general precautions. In your case however, since you have noticed blood in your urine, it will be better for you to visit your doctor. Although urinary tract infections are usually minor and do not last long, at times when they do last they can turn serious. It is better not to risk the infection reaching the kidneys. Also, as mentioned above, there may be other complications.
