Natural treatment for yeast infection
Yeast infections affect women most commonly but men and children can also suffer from them. Yeast is a microscopic organism that is naturally found in the human body but when the body is unable to naturally fight the bacteria and acidic levels in the vagina are lowered, the yeast grows into a full blown infection. The most common symptom of vaginal yeast infections is an itching in the vagina. Though this might start out as a mild kind of itching, it gradually gets much worse. The other common symptoms are a burning sensation that occurs during urination and an increased vaginal discharge.
To treat this, you can apply yogurt to your vagina. You can also smear some yogurt on a tampon and then insert it into your vagina for some relief. Putting tea tree oil on a tampon and inserting it into your vagina can soothe the itching. Using a vinegar douche to cleanse your vagina once a week may help prevent any further occurrences of yeast infections. Ensure that you are wearing loose cotton clothing that discourages a moist, damp environment. You can also sprinkle a little cornstarch around your vagina and groin to absorb any traces of moisture. If your symptoms have not disappeared in a few days, you should seek medical advice at once.
