High blood pressure is exceedingly common amongst people all over the world. While the primary causes of the condition are still relatively unknown, studies have shown that the increasingly fast pace of living in today’s world plays a significant role in the conditions development. Since the condition does not show any real symptoms while still in a developmental phase, it is often known as a silent killer.
If left unchecked, the condition can lead to serious complications such as stroke, heart attacks or even kidney failure. Studies have also shown that the condition is known to affect one in every three individuals in the United States of America. Because of any lack of really noticeable symptoms, it is always advisable to regularly get yourself checked at your local physician to ascertain if you are affected. A few lifestyle choices may cause an individual to be more of a high blood pressure risk than someone else. These factors include an excessively high intake of salt, alcohol or even caffeine. Obesity is also a very prominent aggravating factor as the heart is then required to pump more blood to supply the excess tissues. A lack of exercise is also a very common factor as well as the possibility of the condition being handed down from generation to generation within the same bloodline.
Just as you pointed out, olive oil is known to be very effective in treating high blood pressure. You could also try to incorporate a significant amount of garlic in your daily diet. Garlic is said to reduce spasms of the small arteries while also slowing down the pulse rate and modifying the heart rhythm. With all these actions, an intake of garlic significantly reduces and relieves the symptoms caused by high blood pressure like shortness of breath, dizziness, numbness and the formation of gas within the digestive tract. Since lemon is a rich source of vitamin C, which prevents capillary fragility, it is considered to be extremely helpful in controlling the impact that high blood pressure can have on your life. Raw vegetables juice, especially those made from spinach and carrot are also known to work wonders. You can take them separately or in a combination of 300 ml of carrot juice and about 200 ml to spinach juice and taken daily for best results. Make an effort to follow a well balanced diet that also consists of a well arranged exercise regime. With regards to the diet, meat and eggs should be strictly avoided as they are the most aggravating foods when it comes to high blood pressure.
