What's the best thing for sore throat and ear ache?

As far as the sore throat goes, I know that hot tea works, or to sit in the bathroom while running a hot shower and breath in the steam it creates. For ear aches, the only thing that I can suggest is a warm compress, either a wet washcloth or a heating pad set to low or medium. This is only a temporary fix, and I would suggest you seek medical attention immediately.
Ear aches can seem like they're not serious and become serious very quickly.
