Information on numbness of toe
It would be preferable to first determine what the reasons are for numbness in your big toe. It could be a pair of new shoes that are tight. It could also be that you are standing too much, or are resting on that part of your foot excessively, and therefore causing the numbness.
It could also simply be overworking of your foot that is manifesting itself in this manner. The first rule of thumb here is to cut back on caffeine and caffeine related products. If possible, you can try to stop them altogether for the time being.
Caffeine does not allow such ailments to peter away and heal properly. It is the single largest deterrent in that process. If you are a smoker, you should stop smoking as well, and for the same reasons. You can also take hot water soaks. Completely immerse your leg in a bucket of hot water to which a cup of salt and a few pieces of camphor have been added. This will help in slowly bringing life back to the numbed part of your foot. You can alternate this with ice packs. This will help improve blood circulation to the entire foot and will remove the numbness very effectively.
