The condition in which a woman’s periods stop abruptly is called amenorrhea. This condition may sometimes indicate an extremely weak state of the body. Other than pregnancy and menopause, there are many reasons for a woman’s menses stopping abnormally.
It can be caused by a side effect of a medication, poor nutrition (especially if causing anemia), over exercising, sudden and excessive weight loss or weight gain, excessive consumption of alcohol or caffeine, smoking, stress, and mental tension. You need to keep all these common culprits at bay, as they are responsible for stopped or irregular periods. Also, it would be better if you had yourself physically examined by a gynecologist, as your condition could also be because of a problem with the reproductive system. Usually abnormalities like malformation or displacement of the uterus, hormonal imbalances like estrogen dominance, or polycystic ovarian syndrome are also responsible for stopped periods. All these can be confirmed and treated by a gynecologist. Missing periods for a stretch of three months can have very serious harmful effects on your health, so do not neglect the problem any further. You also need to make sure that you are stress and tension free and are not suffering from any emotional disturbances. It may also help to avoid foods like white flour, junk and greasy food, sugar, cakes and pastries, processed and preserved foods, pickles, confectioneries, and condiments.
To regularize your periods, the first thing you need to do is have the right lifestyle. Begin with starting regular and light exercises that will be stress relieving. Consume a well balanced diet with lots of green leafy vegetables, whole grains, and fresh fruits and raw vegetables. This will make up for nutritional deficiencies that may be causing the problem. You can also regularize your periods by following some home remedies. Parsley is effective at treating menstrual irregularities, whether excessive bleeding or stopped periods. It contains apiol, which is a component of the female hormone estrogen. If you consume 75 ml of the juice of parsley, carrot, beet, and cucumber each, it will treat many menstrual problems. Besides, these vegetables and their juices are good for general health. You can also crush a piece of ginger and boil it in a cup of water. Add sugar to this mix and take it thrice after meals. This is sometimes recommended as a good way of treating the stoppage of menstruation. You can also take half a teaspoon of powdered sesame seeds along with water twice a day to facilitate regular menstrual flow. This is also a common home remedy for anemia.

Health advice on stopped periods
Your menstrual periods are governed by and affected by a variety of reasons. In the early years when you have just begun to get your periods, you will find that they are often irregular. However this does not mean that you should simply sit back and wait for your menstrual cycle to resume. A visit to your doctor will certain help you identify any possible reasons for this sudden break in the cycle. You have not mentioned if you have suffered from any other symptoms along with the break in your cycle. Any pain or unusual occurrence should be reported to your doctor.
Women often find that their menstrual cycle is affected by both physical and mental changes in their lives. So if you have been going through a lot of stress, then it is not surprising that your periods have stopped. If you have been working too hard physically and have not been eating regular meals, this is another possible explanation for the irregular cycles. Eat balanced meals and regularly. These meals should contain green leafy vegetables, meat, milk and other dairy products. Adequate sleep and a regular schedule of physical exercise are equally necessary.
You can peel two to three carrots every day, run them though the food processor and drink the juice.
