Home remedies for wart

Warts can grow anywhere on the body and can best be described as small tumours that appear on the body. These are caused due to a viral infection and can often spread to other parts of the body. Some warts disappear almost immediately but some can stay on for years.

If the wart on your knee hasn't disappeared over a period of time, or if it is painful or if you notice any pus or blood oozing out, then you should certainly see a doctor.

One of the easiest remedies to get rid of warts is to use the sap of a dandelion. Simply snap the stem of a dandelion plant and apply the sap on your wart. Do this regularly.  Castor oil can also be massaged on to the wart and the skin surrounding it. Regular treatment will ensure that the wart softens and then drops off. Using camphor is another option. Simply apply spirits of camphor on your wart. Again, you will need to do this over a period of time for the treatment to be effective and for the wart to disappear. You can make a simple flaxseed poultice at home. Simply grind some flaxseed with a little flaxseed oil. You can also add a spoon of honey and apply this to your wart for at least ten days regularly.
