Natural cure for hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are basically tissues in the anus and lower rectum that have become inflamed due to swelling of the veins in these areas. The symptoms include pain (particularly when passing a stool, and sometimes even when sitting down), discharge of mucus, itching, and in severe cases, bleeding. The condition is often temporary and can be handled by some general care and precautions, and some treatment to ease the symptoms.
In severe cases however, medication or surgery may be required. It is usually better to ask for a doctor's advice before trying to address hemorrhoids on your own. Apart from the possibility of requiring medical treatment, there is a chance that the real problem may be a perianal hematoma or an anal carcinoma, both of which have similar symptoms.
While the former is a mildly painful but temporary condition caused by a rupture of a vein in the anal area, the latter is of course serious and needs to be treated as early as possible.
If your condition is indeed a mild case of hemorrhoids, you should be able to treat it by following a healthy diet with more fiber and fluids, and by exercising regularly. In addition, you can take a mixture of lemon juice, honey, and warm water daily to prevent constipation. To ease the pain and itching, you can use a cold compress two or three times a day.
