Natural remedies for curing lip blisters

There is no remedy of any kind that can permanently cure fever blisters, also known as cold sores. However, there are methods which will get rid of them intermittently. You can apply certain home made ointments that will take care of the problem.

A paste made of turmeric powder and olive oil will heal the sores. A cold tea bag will also bring relief. Applying Witch Hazel will soothe and assist in healing.

If you can find a natural ointment made with witch hazel, you can keep it on overnight. The skin on a sore is usually very dry and it requires some element of lubrication for it to remain well moisturized and not scratch. Chilled milk cream, aloe vera gel and coconut oil will all help with this. Mix a teaspoon of cider vinegar in five teaspoons of diluted rose water. This will help heal the blister. Common salt and baking soda also helps in healing blisters. For temporary relief from itching, you can use Calamine lotion. Tea tree oil is considered the magical remedy for anything to do with blisters of any kind. A mere drop of it on a blister will aid in healing and also begin recovery instantly.
