Natural remedies for gas

Gas usually occurs because of two or three main reason. Serious indigestion, mild undetected allergies to certain food substances, or swallowing large pockets of air while gulping down food. You need to eliminate whichever condition applies to you and see if it has any effect.

Meanwhile, you can follow these simple remedies for getting rid of gas. Ginger is the best remedy for relief from gas. Chew on a piece of dried ginger all day for relief.

You can also mix equal parts of dried ginger powder with a pinch of asafoetida and keep this aside. Swallow it with warm water in the night, and you will pass out most of your gas while you are sleeping. Remember that initially, you will pass more gas when you follow this remedy. It will cease only after a couple of days, perhaps even more. Watch out for the food substances that do not agree with you. Write a diary of what you eat and see what food it is that is giving you gas recurrently. This will take about a month or so, but it is the best way to make sure you will rid yourself of this problem altogether. Studiously avoid gas-causing foods such as would beans, corn, potatoes, carbonated drinks, and fermented foods like cheese. Avoid milk and milk products for a while and see if ti makes a difference – milk is the most common allergen.
