Remedies and cure for ear clogging

A cold is most common cause of blocked or clogged ears and is usually not very serious but it does cause a good deal of discomfort. This condition is also known as otitis media and is described as the inflammation or the infection of the middle ear. Otitis media usually comes a few days after a cold – the ears begin to get clogged after a couple of days of a cold and can cause some severe pain.

To fight this infection, you must make sure that your immune system is in proper shape and that you are taking vitamin C supplements to encourage it. You should also take essential mineral supplements such as zinc because it discourages and prevents ear infections. You should also avoid processed food and eat foods with loads of calcium in them.

Another simple remedy for treating this would be the application of heat to the ears because this helps blood circulation. You can wrap a hot towel around your ears or a heating pad wrapped in a towel on your ears. If you still have even a remainder of a cold, you can also use a saline nasal spray to reduce the congestion. This will also reduce the discomfort in the ear. If your ear pain is very severe or if it is accompanied by discharge or fever, you should seek medical advice.
