Sore Throat Tickle: My son has had a tickle in his throat for 3 weeks now and it now is sore. Is this something I need to go to the doctor for?

A tickle in the throat is an indication of the initial stage of a sore throat. It is a very common ailment and can happen to the persons of any age. A sore throat tickle is usually associated with coughing and pain in the throat.   • Gargle with one glass of warm water that has ¼ tsp of common salt dissolved in it. Do this at least 3 times a day. This greatly reduces the risk of sore throat and cures the throat tickle immediately.
  • Mix 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar in lukewarm water and sip it slowly twice a day. This is a very effective and well known home remedy for tickle in throat.
  • Prepare tea with crushed ginger and pepper. Drinking this tea 2 - 3 times a day is very beneficial for curing the sore throat problem.
  • Mix 1 tsp of honey with equal quantity of lemon juice in one glass of warm water and sip it slowly, 2 - 3 times a day. Also, regular intake of lemon juice every morning on an empty stomach raises the immunity of the body, and prevents sore throat.
