Health advice to cure foot odor
  • Applying antiperspirant to your feet before wearing shoes. This will control the odor by reducing perspiration.
  • Dust your feet with talcum powder or cornstarch so that they absorb sweat.

  • Prepare a strong black tea and soak your feet in it for about half an hour before going to bed once everyday for 10 days. Tannic acid not only kills bacteria but also closes the pores to reduce sweating.
  • Make a solution of vinegar and water in the ratio of 1:2 and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes at night.

  • You can also soak your feet in warm water in which Epsom salt has been added.
  • Sprinkle a dash of dry and crumbled leaves of the herb called sage in your shoes. Its fragrance will control foot odor.
  • Whenever you come from outside, wash your feet with antibacterial soap, scrub them lightly and dry them with a soft towel. Wear slippers at home. Use cotton socks and change them at least twice a day if the odor is unbearable. Try wearing 2 pairs of socks at a time when the odor increases.
  • Keep extra pairs of shoes so that they get aired. Wear sandals for a few days to reduce sweating and for keeping your feet dry.
