Remedies and cure to gain weight

I am 22 year old, My weight is 40 Kgs. Which diet should I take and also which exercise / asanas should I perform to gain weight.

Body weight can be a determining factor of the health of an individual. If an individual weighs 10 per cent below the ideal body weight then the person is termed as underweight. It is advisable to weigh a bit more than average up to thirty years of age.


This works well to build up immunity against infections and illnesses. The reasons for low body weight need to be analyzed and determined. If there are any health conditions that are disallowing further weight gain, then these need to be figured out and treated. Some people also tend to burn more calories than they consume. As such, they are rarely able to gain weight. People who are underweight also have small appetites and are not able to take large meals. Eating smaller meals that are more frequent is better for such people. You could try eating six smaller meals instead of three large meals. Anemia is also a cause for low body weight. Illnesses such as severe flu can cause a person to lose weight. Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland produces a decreased amount of the thyroid hormone. This affects the metabolism of the body, leading to loss of weight. Stress and depression can also reduce appetite, thereby leading to weight loss.

Gaining weight takes time and patience and is not something that can happen in a few days’ time. Consuming foods that are high in folic acid, iron and vitamin B12 is beneficial. Foods that are rich in these nutrients include dates, meats, green leafy vegetables and prunes. The absorption of iron is enhanced by combining foods that are rich in vitamin C with foods that are iron rich. Avoid eating fast foods and junk food. You require calories to gain weight, but calories gained from greasy foods are not good for your health. Include healthy fats such as omega 3 essential fatty acids in your diet. This can be obtained from foods such as salmon, tuna, walnuts and flax. Protein rich foods such as poultry, fish, lean meats, legumes, nuts and seeds are good for building muscle mass.

Exercises such as resistance training activities like lifting weights helps to build the size of the muscles. You can either enroll into a weight gain program at a gym or you can do it at home using the right equipment. Bench presses and squats are also known to help in weight gain.

1.Please do yog Paranayam  with great positivity specially do Kapaal

bhaati anad anulom vilom .

2.Eat rich protein diet like pulses ,soya beans etc

3.Take 4 bananas per day

4.Take 50 gms of peanuts daily .

5.Eat well sleep well take no stress and tension whatsoever .
