I Am Suffering from Thyroid And Bleeding Piles For Last 16 Years. Since Few Days The Middle Fingers Of My Right Hand Have Become Senseless. Please Give Me Some Suggestions To Cure It.

Hemorrhoids are a very painful condition that many suffer from. As the hemorrhoids develop, they become more painful and may even begin to bleed. Hemorrhoids are nothing but swollen veins in the anal region. There are a lot of reasons for the veins in this region to get swollen, but hypothyroidism is one of the leading causes of this condition. Since you are suffering from a thyroid condition, it will eventually cause hemorrhoids. Here are some of the home remedies you can try for hemorrhoids:

  • Add some roughage to your diet. The more soluble fiber you have in your diet less is the likelihood of getting constipated. Hemorrhoids often get worse or begin to bleed when you have constipation and you apply pressure to pass your stools. If you have constipation, consume some dried figs with warm water. This will help you ease your bowel movements.
  • Drink a lot of fluids. The more fluids you consume, the softer your stools tend to become. This also makes it much easier for you to pass them. Dry and hard stools may cause hemorrhoids to worsen or bleed.
  • Avoid straining yourself. If you have constipation, avoid applying a lot of pressure. Instead, consume some medications to relive the symptoms.
  • Perform regular exercise as it helps you maintain healthy bowel movements. It also helps you maintain a healthy metabolism so that your food gets digested properly.
  • When you clean your anal area, make sure that you rinse it well. This will prevent the anal region from getting irritated.
  • Take a sitz bath as often as you can. This is a natural way of healing your hemorrhoids. However, if you are not able to take sitz baths, apply heat to your anal region regularly.
  • If you are overweight, try and lose some weight. This will prevent the hemorrhoids from flaring up or bleeding.

As for the lack of sensation in your finger, it is best that you consult a doctor. This may or may not be related with your thyroid condition or piles, and it certainly requires proper medical examination.
