Natural treatment for vaginal herpes
- Douse baking soda on the sores with the help of a cotton ball. This will reduce the itching by drying the sores. Take precaution not to contaminate the fresh lot of baking soda.
- Dust the sores with cornstarch with a piece of cotton. This also provides relief from itching and dries the moisture.
- Consume one cup of peppermint tea to get reprieve from fever and pain.
- Cover the sores directly with a cold and wet tea bag. The tannic acid in the tea helps in soothing the area.
- Crush a few pieces of ice cubes and put them in a thick plastic bag or a piece of thick cotton cloth. Apply it lightly over the sores for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this process many times a day. Ice provides relief from pain but take care not to overdo it as overexposure to cold can sever the tissues.
- Cotton balls soaked in milk speed up the healing process and also reduce pain.
- Use vinyl condoms so as to prevent its spread to the partner.
- Keep the area dry and wear lose underwear.
- Do not bathe in a bath tub as the virus can spread the infection.
- Eat nutritious foods and maintain personal hygiene.
