As you have stated, you have not been able to gain weight for the past seven months, does this mean that prior to seven months you were able to gain weight? If that is the case, then chances are that you have either developed a physical ailment that is not letting you gain weight or else you are going through some emotional upheaval that is reflecting on your weight. You need to figure out whether either one of these is a reason for the lack of weight gain or not.
To be on the safe side, you should consult a physician first, especially if you are suffering from some physical ailment.
Most people believe that you should exercise only if you want to lose weight. However, what most people don’t know is that there are certain exercises that actually help you to gain weight. One such exercise is lifting weights. This helps in increasing the muscle size, and thereby increasing the overall weight of the body. Another such exercise is swimming which is an exercise that is easy on the joints and helps to increase your blood circulation. It is also considered to be very effective in stimulating the appetite. In order to gain weight, you need to ensure that your diet is a healthy mixture of fiber, proteins, and carbohydrates. This will make sure that you gain weight properly and in moderation and not go overboard and bloat. This healthy mixture ca be a mixture of starchy vegetables such as potatoes and corn; cheese, nuts and olive oil added to salads, dried fruits and nuts such as cashew nuts and hazelnuts, peanut butter sauce applied on whole grain bread; desserts that contain whipped cream and nuts, etc. Food such as pulses, peas, and beans that are very high in protein and food such as rice and potatoes that are very high in starch content should be part of your daily diet. All these contain a lot of calories but if eaten sensibly and in moderation will help you to gain weight. Other foods that contain a lot of calories are cheese sticks, muffins, yogurt, milk-shakes, and dried fruits – these too can be part of your diet. In fact, make it a point to drink banana milkshake everyday – this will definitely help you to gain weight. Please keep in mind that you will need to plan this out properly – you will not be able to nor should you gain weight suddenly.

Tonalin helps gain muscle from fat. If you try that with a good protein drink along with a good meal (good food, not junk), it may help. But, you may have a metabolism that prevents you from gaining much weight. I wish I had one of those...but... Please, stay away from soy anything, unless it's fermented. It's lots of protein, but I hear it messes with your thyroid, and prevents assimilation of necesarry minerals.
