Home Remedies for Flatulence
Flatulence is a health condition with excessive amount of gas in the intestine or stomach. There are many effective home remedies that can help you treat the condition of flatulence.
- Sit on a rocking chair and rock with the chair. When you are rocking, the nervous system gets stimulated and great pressure is exerted on the abdomen. This stimulation and pressure helps in releasing gas from the abdomen.
- Drink peppermint, anise, spearmint or caraway tea as these contain some kind of oil that helps in releasing gas and settling the stomach.
- Salads are good for health but there are some salads that are gas promoters, so check out which vegetable does not suit you and provide excess of gas to your stomach. You can start with a simple diet containing tomato and lettuce. Gradually increase the contents of your diet and catch hold of culprit. Many people suffer discomfort because of onion, garlic and peppers.
- Try eating gentle beans such as split beans, lentils and limas. Beans when soaked overnight are more beneficial.
- While eating sit in a posture with your back straight on a chair so that gas can escape from the body.
- Don’t ever gulp food, give time to swallow and digest. Swallowing and gulping food will offer more air to the body, leading to gastric problems.
