Remedies for being over weight and having big tummy

sir,am 3o yrs old unmarried and i'm suffering from over weight and especially tummy, pls suggest with remedies.

You have not mentioned your height, weight and occupation. General suggestions to keep a check on your weight include dietary and lifestyle modification.

  • Consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, as they provide a greater satiety value
  • Go in for fruits rather than for juices (So that, you prevent the additional sugar)
  • Reduce the intake of saturated fats such as butter, dalda, clarified butter etc
  • Include roasted, baked and pressure cooked foods rather than fried foods
  • Consume wheat products instead of refined white flour products to contribute that extra fiber
  • Check out skimmed milk for whole milk
  • Restrict intake of high calorie foods like cream, cheese, margarine, butter, ice creams, chocolates and foods giving empty calories like aerated drinks and alcohol
  • Do not skip breakfast. People who eat breakfast are less likely to overeat later in the day. An ideal breakfast is high in carbohydrates, has some protein and fat, and provides about one-fourth of your daily calories
  • Make use of non-stick cookware, keeping a check on your fat intake
  • Make exercise a part of everyday lifestyle
  • Try to take the stairs whenever possible, instead of lifts.
