Home Cure for Corns

Corns or calluses are the thick, dead and hardened skin areas which are formed near the bottom of the toes and in the sole of the feet. They may become painful if not treated for a long time. Try these home remedies for corns.

  • Immediately after your bath, exfoliate lightly with a pumice stone to remove the dead skin around the corn. This will trim down the thickness of the corn.
  • Soak your hands and feet in warm water for 5 minutes daily before going to bed. This will keep the skin soft and remove and prevent corns from getting infected.
  • Avoid wearing socks or tight shoes. Wear open and comfortable footwear.
  • Apply mustard oil to your feet every night and wipe it dry after every massage.
  • Soak a piece of cloth in vinegar. Tie it over the corn and leave it for the night. After a few nights, the corn will peel off by itself.
  • Use foot pads to reduce pressure which is the main cause of corns. Always keep your feet dry and remember to wipe away the moisture from between the toes.
  • Use only cotton socks and rest your feet at intervals.
  • Do not keep standing for long hours or put pressure on one area of the feet.
