dark eye circles remedy

Before you start taking care of the dark eye circles that have already formed, you need to get rid of the reason or root cause of their appearance. Different people develop dark eye circles due to different reasons. Something as ingrained as heredity and bone structure, as serious as poor nutrition, stress and tension, or some physical aliment, or something as superficial as inadequate sleep, excessive eye strain, or bad reading habits could be the cause of dark eye circles.

You need to figure out the causes for your dark eye circles and work on getting rid of them. Simultaneously, you can work on the dark eye circles by using these simple ingredients from your kitchen itself.

You can start off by gently massaging almond oil under your eyes before going to bed every night. During the day, you can place thin slices of cucumber over your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help to cool down your eyes, thus ensuring that your eyes are less tired. Alternatively, you can squash cucumber into a pulp and extract juice from it. Soak cotton pads in this juice and place those pads on your eyes. You can also add a few drops of rose water to this juice. Another concoction that you can apply can be made of tomato pulp and 4 or 5 drops of lemon juice. Tomato has mild bleaching properties, and when combined with lemon juice works effectively in reducing the dark eye circles.

Usually, when dark circles form, the skin out there becomes dry. So, while working on the darkness, you will also need to moisturize that area. For this, you can mix milk cream and a few drops of castor oil and apply it under the eyes. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash it off with plain water. This will also take care of any fine lines that are usually formed along with dark circles. You can also mix tomato juice with pineapple juice or tomato juice with aloe vera gel to derive a similar result. Alternatively, you can also mix pineapple juice with a pinch of turmeric powder and apply this on the dark circles. Instead of throwing away your tea bags after you have had your tea, you can place these tea bags (after they have cooled down) over your eyes as eye pads and rest for a few minutes. This too will help to reduce the dark circles.
