Natural cure for morning sickness/Enema is safe during pregnancy
1. As a home remedy adviser I would suggest that for treating morning sickness, drink peppermint, peach leaf or ginger tea for immediate reprieve.
Home remedies to cure morning sickness:
- Make a mixture of one tsp of lemon juice, half a tsp of ginger juice, 1 tsp of pure honey and tsp of mint juice.
Lick a spoon of this mixture 3-4 times a day. You can make the mixture even without ginger juice. - Another solution can be prepared by extracting juice from 15-20 tender curry leaves and mixing it thoroughly with 2 teaspoon of lime juice and one teaspoon of honey.
This can also be taken 3-4 times a day. - Avoid smelling certain foods like perfume, petrol or deodorants. Do not be anxious or worried and eat a diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Keep away from foods that are rich in fat and are spicy.
2. Enema is quite a secure and effective way to rinse the bowel and it works very mildly on the system. It is more natural than laxatives or suppositories and you can time it according to your suitability. It is advisable that you use plain water for enema during pregnancy or if your blood pressure is normal then you mix some salt or baking soda in it. Chemicals absorb water from the system to fill the bowel and you may get dehydrated or land up with calcium deficiency. The use of enema is not recommended in the third trimester if you have experienced preterm labor in your earlier pregnancies.
- The best method to avoid constipation during pregnancy is by consuming a diet rich in fiber, which includes fruits, vegetables, cereals and wholemeal bread.
- Prune juice alone is great to relieve constipation; it is gentle, safe and an effective laxative.
- Drinking 2-3 liters of water a day would lower the risk of constipation and keep the stool moist.
- Exercising regularly prevents constipation and improves health and endurance. About 20 minutes of brisk walking or swimming twice a week is optimum level of exercise.
