Symptoms of influenza include high fever, sore throat and headache
The symptoms such as high temperatures, sore throats and headaches indicate that you are afflicted with Influenza which is a respiratory disease commonly known as flu. It is caused due to infection with the viruses of influenza which is spread through direct contact or air. It affects people of all ages and peaks during winter or change of season. The illness might lead to eye or ear infection or even bronchitis. The symptoms are more severe than common cold and it can lead to pneumonia, especially in children and the elderly.
- When you are suffering from flu, you must try to rest as much as possible. Drink lots of fluids and try to control spreading it by restricting yourself to home and bed.
- Mix one spoon of honey into a glass of water, add 2-3 drops of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of ginger juice. Drink this twice daily.
- Drink lukewarm water immediately after you get up in the morning and throughout the day.
- Boil crushed black pepper and ginger in 3 cups of water till it is reduced to almost one third of it. Drink this when hot 2-3 times a day for as long as the sore throat persists.
