Question on women problem

I bleed after having sex, do you know what it from? i am a female
(10 Oct 2007)

Bleeding after sexual intercourse or post coital bleeding indicates the presence of an underlying problem. Vaginal bleeding is common due to dryness of the vagina. Many problems, such as uterine fibroids, cervical polyps, cervical inflammation, cancer of the uterus or vagina, cervical cancer, pelvic inflammatory disease or sexually transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea or chlamydia.

Cervical ectropion, a condition where the cervical tissue is vulnerable, is also a contributing factor. Cervical erosion causes inflammation in pregnant women and those consuming contraceptive pills. Bleeding after sex is not a normal phenomenon and i would recommend you to take the guidance of a gynecologist. Reduction in vaginal secretions, also termed as atrophic vaginitis is one more cause. Cervical polyps, which are finger-like projections in the cervical canal is yet another cause. Cervical dysplasia is common in women who deliver before the age of 16 years. Protozoa causes trichomaniasis, which can be contracted through urine, tap water, swimming pool and toilet seats. Overgrowth of the uterine endometrium results in projections, referred to as uterine polyps. Bleeding after sex is a common feature of uterine polyps. Women on hormone replacement therapy also experience vaginal bleeding. Check it out immediately.
