Remedies for ear infection -

The appearance of fluid behind the ear drum is referred to as ear infection. Change in the climate or temperature, allergies and viruses are the typical causes of an ear infection.  The cause of the ear infection is initially identified.

Common cold is one of the causes for fluid increase in the ear canal, resulting in infection. Rhinitis causing nose blowing results in mucous accumulation in the eustachian tube, thereby causing an ear infection. Ear infection due to adenoids is common, which calls for the removal of adenoids.

Xylitol in chewing gum helps in pressure removal from the ear. It also expels xylitol, which in turn prevents the entry of bacteria. When the head is upright, the probability of infection is less, as the eustachian tubes empty themselves. Nasal sprays prove beneficial in flushing out dirt and toxins. A sip of drink helps in opening up of the ear, due to muscular contractions. An over-the-counter decongestant is effective against infection. Antihistamine drugs are helpful, in case of allergy. Take the guidance of your ENT physician for further help.
