Home cures for gas
- Drink warm water several times a day and have peppermint tea after your meals instead of regular ones.
- Have 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar.
- Swallowing 4 charcoal capsules before taking your meals will help in bloating and relieving gas.
- Sip buttermilk along with your meals. It helps in digestion and reduces bloating.
- Drink 2 glasses of coconut water daily.
It cools the stomach and aids digestion. - Drink ½ a cup of potato juice half an hour before your meals till you find relief. You can also boil a few pieces in water and drink the liquid.
- Mix 1 tsp of black salt in 1 glass of warm water and drink it ½ an hour after your meals.
- Drink chamomile tea and chew on small pieces of ginger.
- Chew some celery seeds. You can make its concoction by boiling it in water for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain it and drink while it is still warm.
- After your meals, do not lie down immediately. Go for a stroll before going to bed at night.
- Never overeat or remain hungry for a long period of time.
- Eat more of fruits, vegetables and pulses.
- Exercise regularly and maintain an optimal weight.
- Do hot compress over your abdomen with a hot water bag.
- Avoid stress or any kind of strenuous work as they aggravate the symptom. You can start doing some deep breathing exercises.
- You can also massage the abdominal area lightly.
